My 050 Identity Verification Now Uses MynaApp
My 050 Identity Verification Now Uses MynaApp
Starting August 25, 2026, the online identity verification (eKYC) process for the My 050 Number Service uses the Digital Agency’s new MynaApp.
Previously, customers used the Digital Authentication App to apply for My 050. The Digital Authentication App and MynaPortal App have now been integrated into a single app called MynaApp.
What is MynaApp?
MynaApp is the official application provided by Japan’s Digital Agency.
From August 25, 2026, the functions of the former MynaPortal App and Digital Authentication App have been combined into MynaApp.
As a result, customers no longer need to use the separate Digital Authentication App when completing identity verification for My 050.
What has changed for My 050?
The main change is the application used for identity verification.
Before August 25, 2026:
My 050 → Digital Authentication App → My Number Card verification
From August 25, 2026:
My 050 → MynaApp → My Number Card verification
The My 050 eKYC procedure itself remains essentially the same. Customers will continue to follow the instructions provided during the My 050 application process and use their My Number Card for identity verification.
What do you need?
To complete My 050 identity verification using MynaApp, please prepare:
- A valid My Number Card
- A compatible smartphone with NFC
- The latest version of MynaApp
- The PIN/password required for your My Number Card
During the My 050 application process, you will be guided to MynaApp to complete the required My Number Card verification.
Once you complete verification in MynaApp, you will be automatically returned to the My 050 application process. Please follow the instructions to continue your application.
Already have the Mynaportal App?
If you previously had the Mynaportal App installed, it may be automatically updated to MynaApp depending on your device and app update settings.
Please make sure that you are using the latest version before starting the My 050 identity verification process.
What about the Digital Authentication App?
The Digital Authentication App was discontinued following its integration into MynaApp on August 25, 2026.
If you are following older My 050 instructions that refer to the Digital Authentication App, please use MynaApp instead.
Brastel has updated the My 050 identity verification guidance to reflect this change.
