[Important Notice] Changes to Access Brastel Dialing Numbers (0091-20 / 0091-21) Due to NTT Fixed-Line Service Migration
NTT East and NTT West plan to gradually migrate their current Metal IP phone services (including traditional fixed-line services) to fiber-based phone services or wireless fixed-line services by around 2035, due to aging infrastructure. The migration will begin in some areas starting in April 2026. ■ Migration schedule announced by NTT East/West NTT East area (Japanese only) https://flets.com/2035denwa/pre_area.html NTT West area (Japanese only) https://www.ntt-west.co.jp/denwa/2035denwa/pre_area.html ■ Impact of this change After the migration, fiber-based phone services and wireless fixed-line services will not support calls using carrier selection prefixes (e.g., 00XY) due to system limitations. As a result, calls from these services to Brastel access numbers (0091-20 / 0091-21) will gradually become unavailable in areas where the NTT migration has been completed.
